funkytwig
As well as a Behringer MDX4400 we also have inherited a DSP1424P. This seems to be used for processing the stereo main mix. Have had a look at the manual and although it makes seance if anyone has one of these it would be good to get advice on what of its facilities to use for radio and advice on what parameters to try. Brutish Sailor
As well as a Behringer MDX4400 we also have inherited a DSP1424P. This seems to be used for processing the stereo main mix. The real question is: How do you want to run your chain? I wouldnt put it on the mixer out. I would Put your mics to this (if you can) and Boost the crap out of them. That way you could get a cleaner gain because of not having to use your mixers onboard amps as your soul source of gain. Then I would ad the Limiter slightly above your boost, to give you consistancy. Thats just me though. I dont have one, so that might not work. It might sound like hell. But if I did have one? Thats what I would try. KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
funkytwig
OK, I'me new to this so please bear with me. It is a 2 channel unit so are you saying gang/group all the mike outputs through this and loop it back into the desk into the main mix. Are you saying we should only send voice through it? What do you mean by 'ad the Limiter slightly above your boost'? Thanks for replying, Ben
