frankallen Posted November 15, 2015 Share Posted November 15, 2015 Hi All I am currently with shoutca.st and I get this for 5.00 GBP a month 20GB Auto DJ Storage Unlimited Bandwidth Unlimited Listeners Centova Cast v3 SHOUTcast v2 or Icecast 320KB/s Quality (max.) Ticket Support FREE iPhone/Android app But as yet i haven't found the iphone/andriod apps, The script coding is no good or im doing something wrong which is possible. But then i would expect the support team to help me out and point me in a right direction after all its included in the price right ? but NO. Support is pretty naff so I am wanting to move to some place that offers all this at a price close to what i'm paying now. I know you get what you pay for and i guess i'm learning a lesson here. What is on offer elsewhere and what would you recommend. I would like to complete a change over by the months end. They oversell and provide almost no support. The only way they can sell this low. I don't know if it is "normally" an addon, but I do know we recently began offering streaming without AutoDJ to lower the cost. Some hosts offer Auto DJ included, some don't. You just have to read their fine print, or ask them. Our newer packages include Auto DJ with 5 Gigs free, our older packages has Auto DJ as an add-on. Each host is different. That host you mentioned is expensive. They are charging $120 US a month for a dedicated server set up for SHOUTcast / ICEcast and we charge $59 US a month. What it translates to is 'we don't think you'll reach the limits that we'll set anyway'. I've tried some 'unlimited' plans, they all ultimately have some kind of limit when you log in and see, whether it is 1,000 or 9,999 listeners. If the companies offering this we totally honest with themselves, what would really happen if a a couple of their clients actually hit some of those limits? Overselling... That's what's happening...
