James
Users within the Winamp Forums have been speculating further development under Vivendi's control after Radionomy failing to deliver significant upgrades on the software development end. Benski, a former Winamp developer re-ensured Radionomy's ambition to deliver an updated version of Winamp and further development of SHOUTcast, but with limited time and budget, failed to do so. "There will be a small release some time in early 2016. There will not be any new features; this release will be just be a small update to replace or remove software libraries that were not transferred during the sale (such as Gracenote)." http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=374929&page=33 http://www.broadcastingworld.com/news/winamp-hints-at-a-small-release-in-early-2016/ Hopefully this means future development. Seems like Radionomy didn't have the power and money to develop it further. Will Vivendi revive it?
