saint
My Desktop runs Scientific Linux ( A derivative of Centos / Red Hate Enterprise ). This distro is officially sponsored by by both the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Absolutely rock solid stable with excellent access to multiple software repositories. I have two laptops that run FreeBSD current and OpenBSD current. If Linux stability goes bottoms up - I will switch the Desktop over to FreeBSD and use OpenBSD as my backup. HostAG
I also prefer linux. You can do most of the stuff you do on the Windows platform. For gaming, just buy a phone or a console. Twister
I am running Ubuntu/Linux on my home music/jingle production PC. Like with few features to get max out of PC used. I am also still running Microsoft XP on my "music mix" PC, most because of I don't have time to reinstall software and plug-ins needed on an other PC. RegisterNuke
Right now I am currently running Windows 10 on my desktop and also on my new recent gifted Surface Tablet. I personally prefer Windows 10 becasue it's easy to find troubleshoot topics on the Internet if something is going wrong. I also prefer Windows since almost all programs run well on it. Lastly I prefer Windows becasue It's all I have really known and been taught since High School.

Aptably
Everything depends on the tasks. Personally, for example, I really like to play counter-strike, as well as open cases for karrigan CSGO (to get skins for cs go weapons). For these tasks, Windows definitely suits me.
