Make A Voice Out of Business ?

Is Make A Voice (http://www.makeavoice.com) still in business ?

 

We are receiving a lot of calls that their streaming servers and their website have been down for days.

 

They have no contact phone number for thier customers to call.

 

Funny, when we try to get the station(s) to switch to us, we hear "but we like them since they are cheap". You can't keep listeners if you are off-the-air for days and days.

 

You always get what you pay for.

Well, after being down for many days, MakeAVoice's website if finally back on-line. There was no notice of why they were down for so long on their site.

 

Anybody using them ? Any comments ?

Not sure about this. We got the same questions from some users. We also had some users state they were instructed to call us for support, although I suspect that came up because of a quick Google search of ShoutCast support or something of that nature.

 

Interestingly enough, a few of the new customers we gained from them promptly canceled their service with us and moved back once they were back up. Apparently customer service and uptime isn't important to them. The majority of them stayed though

I used Make A Voice about 4-5 years ago. They would regularly change the IP address of my server without notice and would have regular outages, which were also without notice. They were not responsive to my support requests and I eventually left. It doesn't sound like anything has changed.
