SHOUTcast version 2.5.1.724 has many errors

I had several clients receiving serious errors with the new version of SHOUTcast (2.5.1.724).

 

1- 2017-05-06 14:05:50 ERROR [MAIN] Could not open PID file `/usr/local/centovacast/shoutcast2/sc_serv_8528.pid' for writing (Permission denied)

 

2- Station not playing on Tunein. When trying to listen, it just times out

 

3- Can't listen on DNA screen on CHROME & FireFox. When clicking the PLAY arrow on the bottom it doesn't play.

 

4- Information changed on the Centovacast Control Panel won't update on the SHOUTcast DNA page. I changed the website url from http://www.xxxx.com to http://www.xxx.fm and then re-started the server in the Centovacast Control Panel. The website information on the SHOUTcast DNA page didn't change and remained http://www.xxxx.com

 

So, I backed out version 2.5.1.724 and put back version 2.4.7.256 and BINGO, all errors went away.

 

Anyone else seeing these errors happen ? What do we do ?

Up until a few weeks back we had used a shoutcast server for our dj's to connect to and then bought them in as a webstream into Airtime overnight the streams stopped as if geoblocked or just not running. If I restart the shoutcast server it does work and we able to relay this is happening with several supplies servers and can not see a reason for it we are not running the update New DNAS Version Available: 2.5.1.724

any ideas where to look and what to look for ?

Check the SHOUTcast error log file for any hints of what happened.

 

Who is your Stream Host ? Don't they have any ideas ?
