Joshy
I'm really wanting to get some ribbon mics in my studio. I'm thinking of using them for guitar cabinets and Over heads and room ambience. A Royer is abit out of my price range of $550-$600 each, though i may save and just get one of those. I've realy got no idea what to get, I've read about the S.E Electronics Ribbon mic which seems decent and theres the cheapy Nady things :'( But thought I'd try the minds of SC to see whos using what and so on. Thanks guys.

SomeAudioGuy
If you haven't picked up your ribbon yet, I really like these: http://www.cascademicrophones.com/casca ... AD_II.html They wont give you that same raw vintage sound of a well cared for RCA, but they are pretty rich.
